Privacy, plainly
This marketing site is static and hosted on Netlify. It loads its own assets without third-party fonts, advertising scripts, or analytics scripts. Netlify and the DNS provider may process request and connection metadata under their own policies.
Your instance
The index, config, and preview cache live on the machine where you run Ferromagnet. There is no central index or activation service in this release. DHT discovery and previews connect to BitTorrent peers, which can see network activity and your server’s IP address. Self-hosting does not make that traffic anonymous.
Feedback
The optional feedback form is processed and stored by Netlify Forms for the Ferromagnet operator. It asks for a hosting type and your experience, not a name or email. Submissions and hosting infrastructure may include request metadata such as IP addresses. Do not submit secrets or private content. Avoid identifying details if you want your feedback to remain pseudonymous.
Feedback is intended for release improvement. No replies or deletion workflow are currently offered through the anonymous form. Submit only information you are comfortable sharing with the operator and hosting provider. The operator plans to review and remove raw submissions after 30 days; operational provider logs follow provider retention policies.
Public builds
Ferromagnet’s own source is closed; browser-delivered JavaScript remains inspectable as with any web UI. Third-party components retain their original licenses, notices, and required source. Read the bundled notices for details.
